Hi there. I was just wondering if there is any possibility of a lawsuit against Abilify
(Aripiprazole). It caused me Type Diabetes.

Additional Details:
A little less than a year ago I was diagnosed with manic depression. In combination with Prozac, I
was prescribed abilify. Besides completely ruining my life psychologically, it also led to type 2
diabetes. A few months into treatment, I started to feel absolutely terrible. I was bedridden for
a week straight, and literally thought I was dying. I went to my doctor to get blood work and it
was discovered I had a blood-glucose level of about 600. I was immediately admitted to the hospital
and spent the next 3 days in intensive care, and almost died. Before this incident I was completely
healthy. I was about 6''1'''' and weighed 175lbs at the time. The medication was immediately
discontinued but the damage is done. I now have to give myself insulin shots daily, and take 1000mg
of Metformin twice a day. I have developed Peripheral Neuropathy. I have incredible pain in my
feet at almost all times, and have lost a good bit of feeling in my legs, and it is now spreading to
my hands.

This is something that you may want to investigate further by contacting an attorney who specializes in drug/products liability law. Many times their are side effects that are not disclosed and lawsuits arise. If their are such cases then an expert in the filed will know the drug's potential problems.
