Hurt At Work

Q. 

I was hurt at work on company property. I am a contractor where I was working. My company's insurance covered medical. The place I was working let me go Monday.

I am still under a doctor's care for Workman's Comp. Does someone have to continue to pay my salary or part of it until I am release from the doctor?

Also, do I have any recourse against the company where I fell?

You have a complicated issue. You will likely need the assistance of a worker's comp attorney to assist in recovering the benefits you are entitled to. You may also need an employment lawyer to discuss your potential claim for worker's comp retaliation. A personal injury attorney may be able to assist in the claims for personal injuries.
