My husband worked in coal mines for 12 years, he now has copd and emphysima. Would he be eligible
for black lung benefits?

Under some circumstances he may be eligible if he is diagnosed with black lung disease or pneumoconious . This is a program that is administered by the U.S. Dept.. of Labor. It is an administrative claim. My suggestion is that you and your husband ocntact an attorney who handles workers compensation/disability claims and they should be able to invetigate the potential claim.
