Slip and Fall
Daniel B. Ross

Q.

A friend of mine slipped in a restaurant on her way out and chipped her 2 front teeth. She had to go and have them fixed which cost her about $3000. She didn't say anything to the owners of the restaurant that she slipped in. She was embarrassed. One of the Bartenders did help her up after the fall so there was a witness to her falling in the restaurant. My question is, would she be able to have the restaurant pay any of her dental expenses? This happened over the weekend.

You have one of the more difficult cases, a "premise liability case." For a premise liability case, you will have to prove that there was an unreasonably dangerous condition on the premises, the owner knew or should have known of the condition, and the owner failed to correct and/or warn of the condition. These types of cases are difficult to prove, and you would benefit from the assistance of an experienced personal injury attorney. I wish you the best. Good luck!
