Statute of limitations for a slip and fall
Daniel B. Ross

Q.

I fell at a store, the time has been almost close to 2 years. The fall has caused some bills that have not been paid. I had mailed out a claim and had also filled one in at the store. I have not gotten any response. what can I do now?

Assuming that your fall happened in Texas, you should be aware that the statute of limitations for a premise liability claim is two years. In other words, if you do not file a lawsuit or otherwise resolve the issue prior to the two year anniversary of your fall, you will likely lose all rights that you have to recover for your injuries.

I suggest you contact an experienced personal injury lawyer without delay to discuss your legal options. Good luck.
