There are a couple of forums online which are accusing me of being a pedophile. Anyone who knows
me knows this is not true and therefore slanderous. Is there any way the owners of these
websites can be forced to remove the slanderous content?

You have one year from the date of the libel or slander to pursue a claim against the person making the false statement. Because your question was posted nearly a year ago, you should be made aware of this statute of limitation. You would have a claim if you could prove that the person knew the statement was false and that the publication of the statement caused you actual damages. Good luck going forward.
