On April 28th, 2008, Steve Marks, managing partner of Baton Rouge personal injury attorneys, Marks and Lear, PLC, was recently notified that he was elected to American Trial Lawyer Association 2007 Top 100 Lawyers in the State of Louisiana.

This award, limited in number as its title indicates, was given after an in depth review of the standing and record of attorneys in each state, based on specific standards of excellence for trial lawyers; i.e. those dedicated to the prosecution of the rights of the injured, disabled, or killed by the negligence of others.

Steve is also the recipient of the highest rating by Martindale-Hubble, the single most significant peer review attorney rating service in America, which rates attorneys both on legal ability and ethic standards. Steve's 'AV' rating is the highest awarded and is based on the responses of other attorneys and judges practicing and presiding in the area in which Steve practices.

Steve was also inducted into the Louisiana Law School Hall of Fame a few years ago, and has written for the Louisiana Law Review. Besides getting a degree from the LSU Law School and being inducted into the Order of the Coif, it's highest academic distinction, Steve has summa ******** laude degrees in Electrical Engineering and a Master's Degree in the Engineering Sciences.
