Congratulations to the Recipients of the 2009 Larry H. Parker Scholar Incentive Award

The Larry H. Parker law firm is dedicated to improving our community through service and leadership and for the past 11 years we have been presenting the, "Larry H. Parker Scholar Incentive Awards."

Every year, 20 scholarships are presented to high school students in California and Arizona who exhibit a commitment to improving their community through service and education. Award recipients have distinguished themselves through academic excellence, while exhibiting the motivation and desire to succeed despite extenuating circumstances.

Many recipients of the Larry H. Parker Scholar Incentive Awards are disadvantaged students from single parent households. Some students, in addition to maintaining academic excellence, help support their family through employment at a part-time job or assisting in the care of their younger siblings. Some students are already giving back to their community through volunteer services. Regardless of the situation, all students display the motivation and desire to succeed.
