Many you know that traumatic brain injuries can totally change you. Look at Gabby Giffords. The brain is also your personality computer, in my view. There are numerous scientists and specialists in the medical field that are continuously performing many different studies and research projects in order to discover breakthrough treatment of traumatic brain injuries or TBI.
Due to the results of countless hours of continued research there have been several different
techniques that have shown great potential for effectively being able to treat this devastating type
of injury.
Although there are several different possibilities in breakthrough treatment of traumatic brain
injuries, just one example is the use of LED lights. As an injury lawyer, I am always looking at different research. Researchers have
stated that this particular treatment technique can ultimately provide victims of serious injuries
like TBI with benefits that are quite substantial.
Several different scientists from Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology and Boston
University School of Medicine, extensively have put many hours into researching the use of diodes
(LED lights).
Findings of this research have shown that upon placing LED lights on the
forehead and the scalp of injured patients, cognitive function within the brain was enhanced a great
deal. The intensity of post-traumatic stress disorder, which is a common symptom that is associated
with traumatic brain injury, also decreased significantly.
There are numerous men, women, and children every single day that wind up suffering the symptoms of
TBI. In many of these cases it is due to such accidents as slips and falls, and in others it is due
to the misconduct or negligent acts of another person.
Automobile accidents, pedestrian
accidents, motorcycle accidents, and acts of violence are just a few examples of this. What is so
tragic about serious injuries like this is in many situations it completely changes the course of
the rest of the victims and their family’s life. It is also not uncommon for family members to
notice dramatic changes in the victim’s personality and behaviors, which can make life from
day to day very difficult.
The findings of this breakthrough treatment of traumatic brain injury, along with many other studies
and research projects that are being performed could very well prove to completely change the entire
outcome for a countless number of victims suffering from TBI. This is very promising news for
victims of traumatic brain injury and each of the family members that care for loved ones with TBI.
