1948: Johnny Shackleford a sprint car driver died during an auto race in Dayton, Ohio at the Dayton Speedway.
1962: James Hemmings a 28 year old race car driver was killed in a multiple car accident at a race in Marion, Ohio on August 23.
1995: Jay Black the lead singer for a band entitled Jay and the Americans suffered injuries after his limousine skidded on icy and hit a guard rail in Cleveland, Ohio on November 11.
1999: Doug Doench a 57 year old Radio newscaster, also known as Dough Anthony, was hit and killed while walking in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 21.
2000: David Boston and Na'il Diggs, professional football players, suffered minor injuries when the Hummer they were riding in hit a Ford Escort which was driving the wrong way on I-71 in Columbus, Ohio on March 27. Danielle Carfagna, the driver of the other car was fatally wounded in the accident. Police have not been able to determine why Ms. Carfagna was driving on the wrong side of the freeway but they suspect that she might have been fatigued from working two jobs.
