Attorney didn't file suit now statue of limitations is past
I have tried to work with the attorney group i signed a contract with for my vaginal mesh injury that required pelvic floor reconstruction surgery and a year of horrible daily pain. I was constantly reassured they were working on my case for a year when come to find out after they changed hands three times no one even ordered my medical records. Now the statue of limitations is beyond for my state since i had the vaginal mesh surgery in 2011 and the last repair in 2/2012. Am I just out of luck and the Vaginal Mesh company doesn't have to be held liable for the misery they put me thru? Makes me wonder if the Vaginal mesh company doesn't hire some attorneys to just put the case on hold till the patient can't file against them???
Is it true that insurance co. will not pay for needed surgery until i have the oporation and pay for
I was rear ended in dec. CT shows two herniated disks in my neck and lower back, I am in tremendous pain and the insurance co. said they will only pay after I have the surgery. I have no health insurance so I cannot afford surgery. They told me to call Medi-cal. I need an attorney but I don't know who to trust or where to start.
Can I sue for injuries that occurred while working as an independent contractor, if the injury was c
My husband was hired off of Craigslist to do some work for a convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is where we live. The person who hired him owns a company out of Texas, and comes out to Vegas for tradeshows twice a year. My husband has worked for this same person for the past 3 years. This year the tradeshow was held at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. This year the owner decided that he wanted four, 16 ft. trees, that weighed 500 lbs. each. The owner wanted these trees to be elevated 4 inches off of the ground, and placed them on concrete bricks. My husband put 4 of these bricks under each tree; he did 3 trees like this. The owner did the last tree, he decided that 3 bricks would be sufficient. The owner then decides that he wants Christmas lights in the trees. While my husband was on the ladder putting the lights up, the tree that was on 3 bricks fell over. My husband suffered a concussion. The owner says that he is not responsible. Can we sue? It's been a week since the incident.
